Your Journey to the Extraordinary You Starts Here.

AKLE Tree Behavioral Health Counseling - where Awareness, Kindness, and Love guide the way.

Life's path isn't always smooth — trauma, loss, anxiety, depression, illness, career changes, relationships, and uncertainty can leave you feeling disconnected from who you truly are. I'm Madel Abb, therapist and owner of AKLE Tree BHC, and I provide compassionate clinical mental health counseling. I will meet you where you are and walk with you toward healing, growth, and the extraordinary you.

Take the first step today.→ Let’s talk.

Therapeutic Approach

Healing looks different for everyone, and so does the path to get there. My approach is collaborative and integrative — meaning I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies tailored to what feels right for you.

I am a trauma-informed therapist and work primarily from an Acceptance Commitment Therapy framework, weaving in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, relational-cultural therapy, family systems therapy, existential therapy, and clinical hypnotherapy depending on your needs and goals. I may also incorporate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) — a powerful, brain-based approach that supports healing from trauma and has helped many clients experience lasting change.

Whatever we use, the work is always guided by awareness, kindness, and a deep belief in your capacity to heal and grow — tapping into your internal strength. Together, we'll find the path that fits.

I provide individual counseling to young adults through senior citizens, available in person in Chapel Hill, NC and via telehealth.
